English is in comparison to german largely insufficient.

Let's assume one is watching tv and the power goes out. What happens to the tv? Not switches or turns off. That would imply someone did it. Not goes out like a lamp. It stopped working implies the tv is broken.

We are forced to use our wits. We can say something like the screen went black.

German clearly has a word for this and we don't.

When either of you have a word for prozvánění, then we can talk... 🇨🇿

@asterope @Someguy
When you call someone with the intencion of hanging up before they can pick it up.

The intencion is to send message (most often "call me back") for free.

@LukeAlmighty @Someguy oh yeah, I know a word for that in PL - would roughly translate to "sending an arrow".
In english there's ping, trigger, touch and some other words, but nothing exclusive to that concept and leaves to interpretation the intention of the action. Maybe, I'm not native.

@LukeAlmighty @asterope this is very german like. Like it sounds so stupid but there are so many verbs in german like this. You know I wonder if german has this verb....... probably not but I dont know.
