The entire school system is so tragically mis-mannaged that it cannot be repaired.
What is "official reason" for school? To increase your chances of being productive.
To be productive, you need math, physics, IT, economy.
You do NOT need: literature, hystory, music, social sciences, PE (while teaching about PE would be useful, that isn't what's happening there)...
If school tought only useful subjects, kids could be making money by tbe age of 15 and starting the family soon after.

@Ladyfat ..pondering it, I can’t decide if the U.S. would be better or worse if it adopted the perspective of the U.K. law. I’m leaning toward “better”, but then again, I’ve met too many anti-evolution bible-thumping militants to have confidence. U.S. public schools are a shit show still. @LukeAlmighty
@LukeAlmighty U.K. law states that education is the responsibility of the parent, parents choose whether or not to outsource that to a school or alternative provision. Education is a legal requirement from 5, school and the national curriculum isn’t.
