@LukeAlmighty @Moon @lain Alyx is part of the trend of masculinizing female characters in video games whether you want to acknowledge it or not. Women in the west on average are becoming more and more masculine, and there is a strong desire (for SOME reason) to depict this reality everywhere, rather than making soft, feminine female characters. If it was one-off instances called for by a setting (and Alyx could be considered that if she wasn't part of that trend), that'd be one thing. Instead, if I want feminine women in a video game, I either have to mod it in, go non-clique indie, or go to Japan.
