@why
GTA 4 is such a weird game.

I am still not sure if more money went into the development of the game or into development of it's 20 interconnected DRMs.

@LukeAlmighty or the licensing of music, or the advertising, or paying the VA for nico-
wait scratch that last one

@why
Licensing and advertising isn't breaking the game 10 years later on modern super-hardware.

My laptop can run GTA5, yet my PC still has problems with 4.

@LukeAlmighty the DRM is bad but the real problem is shitty port, the pcgamingwiki article is probably the longest on the site

also the new update removes the old DRM and its the same as V now

@why
Ok, I won't lie.

I am not a co puter expert on such a huge level, to know what exactly caused the port to be shitty. But when you have several anti-tampering experimental softwares, and the game happens to be shitty and unpatchable even years later, I get suspicious...

@LukeAlmighty because it was a game designed for xbox 360 and ps3, who share little resemblance to PCs, and PCs at the time share little resemblance to the ones now (in terms of CPU threads, memory size, etc). Also they didn't give a fuck about PC users
