Anyone surprised by falling lumber prices is an idiot. Lumber was up over 200%, which isn't sustainable and was sure to attract new suppliers to the market. Inflation isn't 200%, that would turn us into Venezuela.

Anyone thinking falling lumber prices means inflation will reverse is an idiot. Lumber was up 200%, while general inflation is between 5% and 10%. Lumber will settle and slowly rise again with new home construction. Prices spiking and settling at a higher floor is normal.

What would be your worst "reasonable estimate" of the inflation this year?

@LukeAlmighty It's trending between 5% and 10%.

If Biden's spending bills pass, it will push that number closer to 10% since it will all be funded by printed money.
