What is the point of having client-server architecture? For instance, decentralized chat services like Matrix or XMPP: users have to choose a server and then trust it (it is unusual that someone would install own server). This is the main blocker. Why can't we have just server-less apps which connect each with another? Almost every device is always online nowadays. Chat services or filesharing can be done easily #serverless.

I just see that the word "serverless" is already taken and means something else (it's a fancy buzzword for some cloud shit). So I would rather stay with the oldfashioned name "P2P".

Cloud is the single qorst IT pseudoterm I know of.

You would be surprised how many arguments I got into when instead of "cloud" I used a descriptive term like: Some other guy's pc.

@LukeAlmighty @mig This is the best part of tech support for a downloadable Discord bot: Casually asking Karens where they think the dev's instance runs.
