Controller looks great, but without a custom OS, I don't think I would care to buy one...
@lewdthewides @LukeAlmighty @pasture @steamdb In the FAQ on reservations at the end of linked page, it says under “Do I need a Steam account to use Steam Deck?”
“The default Steam Deck experience requires a Steam account (it’s free!). Games are purchased and downloaded using the Steam Store. That said, Steam Deck is a PC so you can install third party software and operating systems.”

I'll wait for reviewers to confirm this info, but damn.... If true, I might loose quite some cash.

Now that you mention it, any idea if Czech Republic has the priviledge?
@Locksmith @LukeAlmighty @lewdthewides @pasture @steamdb Per the FAQ, for the first 48 hours of reservations your sister needs to have made a Steam purchase prior to June of this year:
“Why is my account not able to place a reservation until Sunday?
“We are aware of potential unauthorized resellers, and as an additional safeguard to ensure a fair ordering process, we’ve added a requirement that the reserver has made a purchase on Steam prior to June 2021 for the first 48 hours of reservation availability.”
