Nice random memory.
I remember lying in bed, and screaming for help from pain, asking for some pain killers.
And my step mom was seriously contemplating letting me suffer without them, because she didn't want me to get addicted.
A truly great moment. This is what love looks like.

Yes. It was not a good moment for that decision, and she did give me the pill after my sister talked some sense into her.
But it was an honest moment of brutal decision. She was willing to let me suffer to ensure I won't be worse off later. And I am happy that she did consider this. That is rare.
@LukeAlmighty I’m a bit against overmedicating too, but not giving your family some ibalgin when they actually need it is some sick fucking next level
