What are some things, that you truly hate in movies/TV shows?

For me, it's sex scenes and scenes with praying/obvious christian immagery.

They add NOTHING into the story 99 percent of the time.

@LukeAlmighty The gratuitous sex scenes were a turn-off (heh) in GoT.

Phone calls in TV/movies really annoy me for some reason. They usually sound so stilted and unnatural.

I almost forgot just how bad the stargate universe is, but I am in 6th episode, and already about 6th sex scene and 4th prayer + illusion of talking to priest...

It makes that shit so insufferable...

@LukeAlmighty I'm the biggest Stargate fanboy you'll ever meet, but I could write a book-length diatribe on how awful SGU was. The story got better in S2 (too little too late, IMO), but the writers seemed to hit all of my pet peeves. The overused sex scenes were almost as bad as the characters that only existed to check off diversity *and* trope boxes: whiny rich girl, tough black guy, paraplegic genius...

And to bring it back to the original topic, Rush is a perfect example of a character I hate that pops up everywhere: the guy who knows everything, tells nothing, and expects everyone to bow down to him. He's the "expert" we're supposed to trust blindly.

Oh... And now, they're having sex in stolen bodies...

This shit is getting so ridiculously bad.
