Yeah, and it seems that Xcom enemy unknown was translated prety well. I also play card thief and I spend an embarrassing ammount of time on original hillclimb racing. But the list above is the important part.
@LukeAlmighty I should point out the main use case here is in like 10-30 minute sittings that may abruptly start or stop

Yes, I know. The fact game was made for console doesn't mean it's eating long time.
Lego racers (I think nds) Doesn't eat that much time per game.(same as most racing games) Pokemon games have flexible time...
Not to mention, that since the games are emulated, they can be paused even if the original game never intended for it.

On the other hand, that is THE REASON I cannot recomend 99.9 percent of standard mobile games, that are nothing but time-wasting machines made to make you feel guilty for not wasting enough, and forcing you to spend money.
