I am sorry, but what exactly did she expect?
Well, yeah... the fear of overqualified people is a real and realy dumb thing, but when exactly in your day to day life do you need a services from biochemist?
@deprecated @LukeAlmighty Unironically, kids are better off learning to become pirates, or leveraging themselves into consultation positions.

Sales, business analysts, operations, and other meta/looting positions are where it's at these days. Fuck actually making anything or doing anything, figure out what the company likes doing and can't outsource and do that.

@deprecated @LukeAlmighty Got a buddy who wen't 100k into debt getting a STEM degree, now he's a carpenter who makes more than his friends who actually got jobs in the field.
@LukeAlmighty I’m sure there are loads of companies complaining to the government how they can’t find biochemists and the BLS is saying it’s a growth field and we need more than ever, and then when kids get degrees to work in the field they find out companies actually just want to hire foreigners on work visas
That’s literally everything in STEM at this point
