@fluffy It actually makes a lot of sense. You get free food in prison. Mass incarceration of anyone too poor to feed themselves is the ideal solution to world hunger.

Nah... This is a minimum wage issue. (I think)

If you could pay food + 20 dollars a day to homeless people for a 100 percent unskilled labor like collecting food, you would quickly start to see the difference.

@LukeAlmighty @fluffy I think you're missing a few of the more obvious points, such as the obvious human rights violations, and of course the question of where all that food comes from. Throwing everyone who's starving into prison won't magically give the prison enough food to feed them - if there's already a lack of food, it won't do anything to help them.
