That is an excuse we use not to say it in words, that shock us to our bones.

Neither energy nor matter can be created or destroyed. It can only be transfered.

And we are better at transfering it as a team with clear boundries. Pigs/wolfs/eagles would do the same if they were on the top. It is pointless to deny this.
