The increase in the price of electricity is a generalized issue in the whole EU, it's caused by the implementation of the taxes to CO2 emissions. However, some countries are more affected by this than others.

Countries like Germany can probably afford an increase of 40/50€ in their electric bill so they probably won't bother much. But countries like Spain, on which the most common income is like around 1200€ (or 430€ if you have a subside which is worse) can't afford to pay that much.

This is only going to get much worse as the 2050 agenda moves on.
I'm sorry but I don't think the EU is being realistic when implementing all these kind of measures. You can't just decrease CO2 emissions by just taxing them like this. In the end, it only affects consumers, who see their electrical bill exponentially increase every month as it is already happening. And people who was already having problems reaching the end of the month are going to have even more issues doing so, up to the point that a lot of people are not going to be able to pay their bills (We are talking about more than a million at this time, in Spain).

The paper says that we're going to rebuild entire electrical infrastructure to run on fairy dust, so we're going to use fairy dust.

What's so complicated about that?
