For starters, fuck holywood, let's start simple. School. In school, most people are either masculine or nerds. Masculine people are also stupid, and end up overdosing mere years after school. On other hand, nerds have "future". Masculine teachers don't exist. Masculime knowledge is not shared.
So simply said, men don't even know they should pursue it.

Media provides no portray of a healthy male role model , you know, the Howard Roark kind of masculine role model.
Education treats male children as if they are defective girls, from P.E. to exams, there is no numerical evaluation, no free competition, no meritocracy.
And there's the workplace... fuck... if there's a place that is posed is workplace. Males get no "quotas" and then have to see how females with half the experience, skills and knowledge get hired because "diversity" and after that they have to see how H.R. gives preferential treatment to those females from training opportunity to giving the privilege to monitor and control male behavior and speech.
And there is the world of marketing...just everything single thing you see nowadays are marketed with women in mind, long gone are the days of the Malboro Man, Jeep and Budwaiser bros tv ads.
How can males know what to pursue if they never learn from early age what is their own potential ?.
