I have an interesting idea a website that pre release video game information and then compares it with information given in reviews.

I noticed when MHRise came out that all the reviews were completely generic and my theory is no game reviewer even plays the games they review.

@NickolasGir Your theory is probably correct. So many game "journalists" have been asking for easy modes and skippable boss fights because they just want an easy paycheck by talking about the story. Stories can be good in games, but that's not nearly as important as the gameplay itself. Without good gameplay, I might as well just watch the cutscenes on Youtube.

@NickolasGir Why do we even need game journalists? Especially if they are not even going to do their jobs and instead just be movie reviewers without an actual movie. If I see the gameplay, I will know if it is a game worth playing. No soyed out asshole who only cares if the game has a the woke checkboxes filled out and does not even like playing video games is going to make me want to play a game. In fact they often serve as an inverse seal of quality.

We need them for the same reason as movie critics and normal journalists.

They were needed before video sharing was possible.
