It is realy hard to not have a bad opinion about christians, when they openly say, that most of them either found god while they were severly depressed or simply were raised christian.
How am I supposed to take your belief as a rational choice, when you roughly say:
"I was emotinally ruined and needed some cope, and then I found a brand new way to deny my own existence."
And if that wasn't enough, while the "cope christians" are actually believers, most people I saw who were raised christians were insufferable pricks who never missed an oportunity to be awful human beings. In short, I cannot believe they realy believed in any judgment or sin.
@LukeAlmighty "I was emotinally ruined and needed some cope, and then I found a brand new way to deny my own existence." LOL
I am glad that my parents were not believers and therefore they did not put anything in my head and left me free to understand for myself what God is and what God is not.. on the contrary, I have met people who did not have that freedom.. they have been told that there IS God.. but they have doubts and feel guilty therefore anytime they try to be critical..
fortunately, one also finds that the understanding of faith is quite different for the ordinary believer and the cleric..
