Wrong, it is because tutorials are either:
20h long series that goes through each step, but by the end, you forget what an int is
Or:
A function tutorial, that focuses on a single feature you might use in middle of game development.
But most people in order to learn need SHORTEST WORKING shit possible, so they can reflect on it immediatelly, and expand on the gained knowladge later.

And I will restate that my personal experience is, that most tutorials ale bullshit even with programming experience.
@LukeAlmighty yes, most tutorials are bad in various ways
that’s why I learn by building real things, usually starting from some chunk of working code that is at least tangentially related to what I want to do
if I don’t have a real use case for something, I’m not going to learn it unless someone is paying me to

Nah men, I got this idea.
It will be phisics based open world MMORPG with 200 players per server. And it will be for phone.
So, I will give you this drawing, and you can do your magic.
@LukeAlmighty I’m just restating what they said, apparently people try to jump right into game development without ever doing any programming beforehand and then flounder
that’s not a problem with tutorials, that’s a problem with expectations
