I was once on a visit of Czech central bank.

I asked Why do they push for a 2 percent inflation, instead of 0 or deflation.

Their explanation was the dumbest and most commie thing I've ever heard.

Because they want to push people to spend their money instead of saving it. That if people believed their money is going to apreciate, they might stop immediate consoomerism.

So, that was the first time I've heard a person in real power admit they need consoomerist slaves in debt.
