They removed "are you a boy or girl?" from Pokemon BDSP and instead has "choose your photo from the lineup".

I bought Monster hunter Rise. I wanted to give the series a try...
I regreted it immediately. (Yes, these options mean what you think...)

The game also has alot of meme-y English writing. Some of it seems too... Americanized at times
At least there's Japanese voice option for the cutscenes, and the gameplay & atmosphere is good imo.
