I was rised to be anti-racist in every way. I hate the idea on the deepest level, since it's obvious how wasteful it is when applied to already mixed society...

But I think I am SLOOOOOOOWLY starting to get the message.

@LukeAlmighty @ChristiJunior @AnimeTradCath @hapa_sympathiser @randbot you were trained wrong as a joke. We all were. The most wasteful thing to do is to keep pursuing this mixed society that clearly isn’t working out.

@James10550088 @ChristiJunior @AnimeTradCath @hapa_sympathiser @randbot
There are THOUSANDS of things I was trained wrong as a joke.

- Dating mechanics
- Health
- Inter-racial mechanics

And at least, contrary to most people, at least I do understand logic and economy, but bloody hell....

@James10550088 @LukeAlmighty @AnimeTradCath @ChristiJunior @randbot I had this argument with my friend one time. I basically won him over on the idea that the world would be way better if every country was homogenous.

But then the next day he came back to me and said "ehhh actually that seems wrong... going our separate ways just sounds like giving up."

Pretty sure it's his internalized anti-whiteness (to co-opt a libtard term). It made him second-guess the ideas I proposed. He thinks trustworthy white intellectuals devised these ethnically suicidal theories. If/when I tell him this was done to him by Jews, he'll break out of it I'm sure.
@hapa_sympathiser @AnimeTradCath @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @randbot a lot of people will fall back on their one friend of another race or that that one nice black gentleman they know and then refuse to weigh that against the overwhelming negatives.

@James10550088 @ChristiJunior @AnimeTradCath @hapa_sympathiser @randbot
The more I try to study different cultures, the more obvious it seems to be, that the one thing that helped elevate the christian cultures was the ability to risk a strategy of mutual benefit.

What a shame, that we didn't realize in time, that this was an exclusive trait.

@James10550088 @AnimeTradCath @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @randbot Oh yes, now that you mention that I remember the argument more clearly. We have an Asian friend in our circle, and he wouldn't stop bringing him up. Like he thought I was gonna genocide him if I had my way.
@hapa_sympathiser @AnimeTradCath @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @randbot I’ve had numerous arguments that went in a similar direction. I mean I kind of get it but they never stop to think whether their racially heterogenous friendship would survive if the shoe were on the other foot.
@James10550088 @AnimeTradCath @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @randbot For one thing people tend to drift away from their friends of other races as they get older. It makes sense because as children your worldview is really bare-bones and simple. Y'know, you both like cars or something. But it gets more complex as you age. You may both like cars, but one of you might like sports cars while the other might like trucks. You respect that difference but you're gonna have a better time talking to someone who shares your interest in that one class of cars.

And yeah, we briefly had this black guy in our friend group in high school, but we no longer talk to him. He went to a black college and shiieet, but it doesn't suddenly make me hate him. I'm sure if I saw him we'd be like aye what's up.

@LukeAlmighty @ChristiJunior @AnimeTradCath @hapa_sympathiser @randbot They’ve been trying to undo their own work because it’s built on genuine compassion and results in some level of stability, both of which get in the way of what they seem to be pushing for, down the road. I hate that I’ve absorbed so much of other people’s hate (I haven’t been discriminated against very much at all and the “minorities” I’ve had as neighbors have all been awesome people, so I have no “reason” to feel mad at my immediate world). But, I also hate that I’ve discovered “justification” for a portion of that hate. No one forced me to look at what people were saying on Twitter. No one forced me to watch anti-SJW videos. No one forced me to dig deeper into connections, “notice things,” or to give in and check the Early Life section.

A lot of our attempts to keep the status quo don’t work, because the elements needed are no longer in place (and that’s getting worse). So, it’s very hard to be fully loving, right now. Especially since more and more people are becoming bitter and hostile and making me feel like I just don’t wanna care anymore. But, change is coming and is needed. I think it’s very possible (but not at all easy) to redirect this back into something recoverable…albeit different. Idk.

Not sure if that resonates with you, but your post definitely did with me.

>I have no “reason” to feel mad at my immediate world
I feel this part completely. There's that meme "if only you knew how bad things really were" but accompanying it is "if only you knew how much better things could be". I think about the latter way too much. I'm so discontent with the whole world it completely bogs me down. After awhile I take a 30-60 day political detox and just watch anime or focus on my drawing.

I just wish I had a secure position where I have work and a place to live. I'm in college and looking for jobs seems like such a hassle, especially when you gotta put on a fake libtard face to fit in. The conundrum is that I can't simultaneously be in this college setting AND study diligently because the environment puts all the woes of the world on my mind. The only time I can stop thinking about politics is when I'm at home for summer/winter breaks, when that's the time I need it the least.

Basically I think we're saying the same thing. I wish I didn't start noticing during this pivotal time in my life. It's totally thrown off my trajectory.

@hapa_sympathiser @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @AnimeTradCath @randbot

It’s totally thrown off my trajectory Oh, man. I’m so sorry to hear that. I definitely feel the “bogged down” a hell of a lot, as well. It is just too much, but it’s easy to feel “numb” and just “brush it off” until you realize your camel’s back is breaking. 30-60 day political detox Damn, if only I could manage that. I can almost do a week+, but not often. It’s also kind of an addiction. I believe it actually has a similar effect in the brain to hardcore pornography (fetishes), without the pleasure and climax part. It’s shocking shit that every part of you knows you should stay away from, but you continue anyways and eventually see changes and lose a bit of your true self. That’s why /pol/ is one of the worst things on the planet… But it is also super productive and pools together some of the best minds and thinking on the planet, so that makes it harder to forget.

@Calvin @ChristiJunior @AnimeTradCath @hapa_sympathiser @randbot
Ok man. It seems that you are in need of a white pill. So here is one.

If you get hired, people KNOW who is or is not a diversity hire. Even if only sub-conceously. That means, that if the company you-re working for gets into red numbers, any manager with IQ above the sea level will know who not to touch when firing people.

@LukeAlmighty @Calvin @ChristiJunior @AnimeTradCath @randbot
That's true. Honestly at this point I don't care how much I make as long as it's >20/hr. I'm guessing it'll be easier to get in + be more myself at a place like that because they're "farther" from power. I've never known anything more than 14/hr anyways so a "raise" like that would go a long f'in way.
@Calvin @AnimeTradCath @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @randbot
damn, I'm sorry it's so hard to get a break borther. I generally get my breaks in when I undergo some sort of "shift" in my life setting. My last break was over the summer and I timed it to start at the same time I started a part-time restaurant job. I was hoping that I could stay away from politics from then until the end of my school year but lo and behold I fell back into it as soon as I saw how shitty it was here (mainly covidshit).

>that makes it harder to forget
I get that. I personally stopped using /pol/ because it's way too toxic and prone to bots and Jewish shills. I joined Telegram and virtually stopped using /pol/ because you don't have to sift through a bunch of blackedposting to get decent content. Just follow a few personalities like Eric Striker, Keith Woods, et. al. You'll find tons more interesting channels from there, even apolitical ones. But as always practice caution and steer clear of obvious feds (I've only seen one)

One benefit of Telegram that might work for you is that if you have fear-of-missing-out, you don't need to worry too much because you can binge-read all the news you missed over the past month, whereas /pol/ is always "in the now". Maybe that'll help to remedy your subconscious urge to check what's going on, and you can instead relax and know that it'll be there for you when you're ready.

Good luck fren

@hapa_sympathiser @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @AnimeTradCath @randbot Thank you. That’s actually insightful and helpful. Part of my “trigger” is when I hear something “bad” go on in the world (like something about vaccines or progressive politics or government shit or whatever), I feel the need to go into the fray to see if anyone is doing anything about it. /pol/ and friends tend to mostly bitch about things and point out all the flaws until you just feel maimed and deflated. So, it’s kinda like rushing in to a burning forest because I felt heat and went to look for water to put it out. Like what???

As for your solution, Telegram just seems to not sit right with me (the “Fed” reason being part of it), so I tried joining the Fediverse as an attempt to remove myself from most of the toxicity. It’s helped, but I still have people being calloused, constantly bitching about the Jews, showing all the cringe of the world, etc. So, it’s better, but I still only come on here once a week or so.

Thanks, fren.

@Calvin @AnimeTradCath @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @randbot
I get that completely. Maybe a good exercise to avoid getting into the weeds on /pol/ is to remember that these things were happening before you started noticing and will continue for a long time. There are guys out there more dedicated to "fixing" stuff, and those are the only people who really "need" to be plugged in 24/7. Assuming you're like me and just a guy on the internet, constant news consumption be really demoralizing.

Another point that hopefully might be useful: for me, after just a few days of extreme focus on something else, my brain sort of "resets" to have something other than politics as my default thought process. Even though I sometimes thought about politics at my job, it wasn't the go-to thing; it was usually creative thoughts about a story I wanna write some day. Long ago when I was really into school I would think about the subjects I was learning.

After I was focused on something else for a few days, the political thoughts sorta cooled down. If I saw my parents watching the news, I would listen but I didn't go down rabbitholes on whatever they were saying. I was content in assuming that there was probably some bullshit going on behind the scenes but sometimes it's OK to be ignorant.

That's another thing: when something truly important happens, it WILL find its way to you. For example, I was taking a break from politics when January 6th happened. I was scrolling through my normie Facebook feed and saw everyone saying "AMERICA COLLAPSED NOOOO" and it was odd enough that I broke my fast and delved into what was going on here.

Sorry this is getting really long. But attached are some other resources that might help. I haven't tried the first one but the pdf is pretty good.

@hapa_sympathiser @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @AnimeTradCath @randbot Thank you for this. Yeah, I think the focus thing is one issue, right now. But I do concede that I am semi-impotently trying to change the world and fix all the problems that bother me by mentally and emotionally engaging with them. I used to be very anti-news until a couple years ago. But, one thing that popped up when I was getting really distraught was that I actually knew a lot of this, already. The only thing that was different was I knew it as a fact, rather than a truth, now. But I still had known most of the core elements for quite a long time, because I paid attention and worked on my perception. Felt nice, sometimes, because it was like an Indian putting his ear to the ground and knowing where the buffalo were and roughly how they were moving.
