reading up on GPU passthrough so I can play certain games that use anticheat that unfortunately do not like GNU/Linux (or more accurately, Proton).

I've discovered that some anti-cheats software go out of their way to figure out if you are using a VM which is a little concerning, and make me wonder if I even should bother then since if I get banned immediately then I can't play with my friends, not that I could to begin with.

Centralized online games are cancer.
They are fraud.

I could count number of such games, that I do not consider to be total waste of time on one hand, and I still would have a few fingers to spare.

Never pay upfront for a multiplayer game.

@LukeAlmighty The game I want to play online is Xenoverse 2 which is very much playable single player (in fact I beat the story mode which is about 24hrs). I have about 30 hours it in offline which I think is fantastic for a game. I also got for 8 bucks on steam sale (but don't ask about the $100 dlc content lol)
