@histoire @LukeAlmighty I'd like to disagree, there are studies that say we don't "learn" language, as much as we acquire it. And to acquire a language you don't necessary need discipline.

Shows for kids or with easygoing language, slices of life maybe.
Something you seem interested in, or even a rewatch of a show, I started with Yuru yuri and Saiki kusuo since they're my favourite shows but I can't commit rn for personal reasons.

I would recommend learning katakana and hiragana first though as otherwise you won't be able to get any of the subs.

@LukeAlmighty @histoire you just need to keep watching, even if you feel like you don't get much.
I was able to learn English the same way, I could barely understand anything 10 years ago, but little by little I got better and never had any official training.
