@LukeAlmighty disinformation is not the root of evil, but facebook is.. unfortunately governments are not willing to block the root but fight disinformation..
It's like fighting with bullets not shooters..
Disinformation wouldn't have any impact if there is no paid amplification..
So I always say that FB and such sites under foreign control are weapons.. they are more powerful than bombs if it comes to impact..
There is a war running but we don't fight on proper places..

And none of these can be fought through censoreship.
So, it won't help either way. The only way to fix the society is to rebuild from the basic blocks. To literaly hug your friends and teach them what's important in life.

Yes, I still do believe that social networks are being used as a weapon.
You don't need to look too long to see:
Attacks on your calm through a covid fear mongering.
Attacks on your self esteem by pushing trans agenda.
Attacks on community cohesion through creating fake consensus about hate towards half of population.
Attacks on fertility through pushing women into life long worker life.
Attacks on production through anti-entropenour messaging.
But I have never seen our government fight against any of these... Only against people noticing, that we are being already attacked.
