The worst thing about games with predatory monetization is, that you can never know,what they consider to be the actual price of the fun.
I have 1127 hours on war thunder. I love the game. But they made sure, that I cannot play the new jets. It is just mathematical bullshit to make money.
So, even IF I decided to throw 60 dollars at them to buy a plane simmilar to my favorite one (because I cannot even boost earning with the favorite one directly), I cannot be sure if that's going to even be profitable after 2 more patches.
Because also, this is the kind of game, where they can throw planes without missiles agains planes with beyond visual range missiles. So there are things, where not even the best of skills can save your ass.
@coolboymew
I think you mistook it for racing games.
I seriously doubt Chinese millitary is selling licenses for aircraft models XD
let's see how your MiG-15 does against this F-35
I think part of it may be I prefer story given games anyway with a beginning and a middle and at least some resemblance of an end. The guy who made Braid has done a few talks where he compares free-to-play games to older arcade coin-munchers or syndicated TV, compared to more modern complete games or season-long story arch TV.
