What changes is that there is a huge amount of material that can be infinitely copied, so it's not easy to justify their payment when there isn't any need to settle, much less entice them with good pay. Especially when women society is degenerate enough that no-commitment sex isn't hard to find for most men.
Their job isn't so different from someone trying to sell tap water next to a clean, publicly accessible mountain spring at this point.
