I hate IQ.

Because, it is a rating system. But we have no idea, what does it mean about power in the absolute numbers.

If I say, that runners arrived 1st, 2nd and 3rd, you have no diea if I am comparing 3 olympic runners, or 2 kids from kindergarden to Usane Bolt (btw, fastest man alive having a surname Bolt? Do we live in a fucking comicbook?).

And that means, that we have no actual measure of inteligence. We have no way of telling if smartest people out there are twice as smart as average, or if all of the scientific progress is driven by people with a 1 percent difference.

@LukeAlmighty

What is "twice as smart"? Maybe there's "solves these types of problems twice as fast" or "can solve this kind of problem or cannot."

But there is no twice as smart, because there aren't problems that are twice as difficult.

I think.

Also if we lived in a world where you could measure that kind of thing... We would probably live in a world where computers run the thing.

A rant is never a bad thing. When I rant publicly bugs in my thought process get pointed out and am able to patch them. And, sometimes, I suspect some of my rants has given people a different perspective.
