I am talking about this trend.

The more I think about it, the better it gets. I think, I will start using Body type B in debates now.

@LukeAlmighty @nukie Underworld Ascendant did an even more annoying version of this, where you have a slider from more to less muscular, and somehow the least muscular version is the female version.
Underworld Ascendant was also a new game in a series that had always had simple "male/female" checkboxes. From Software have been doing 'body type' choices forever.

That they won't use the words 'male' and 'female' is holding the human body at more than an arm's length. Can't wait for the Galactic Senate to contact us and games to start having 'body type' selectors that double as species selectors, and just like American sites insist on sorting 'United States' way at the bottom, you'll have to go to page 22 to find something that you think is the human form.

But, I still can't get that annoyed by this stuff, because whichever 'body type' you pick, you're really playing a man. Games that say "gender doesn't change gameplay" just have women as a cosmetic choice.
