Anyone understands, why is youtube seemingly crippeling itself?

Removing dislikes had at least some benefit for big corpos, but shorts are just toxic, pointless and use unberable UI even on the few short videos I would actually want to see.

Let me guess... It's because, it's easier to put ads between 5s videos...

It's always the ads.

@LukeAlmighty they've been getting really aggressive with the ads lately

i will watch youtube videos from my tv before bed sometimes and lately they've been giving me unskippable ads before i can even find a video to watch

@winter
Damn...
Even my parents just connected a laptop to TV at this point.

@LukeAlmighty they're trying to cash in on the success of tiktok- the UI is aids because it's probably based on the tiktok UI. Youtube sorta killed its short video content awhile back when they made it so a video had to be at least 10 minutes long to have multiple ads - thing is most people won't binge several 20-30 minute videos, but they will for 10 second tiktok shit for the equivalent time. Youtube probs realised that they accidentally cut themselves off from the retard market - a niche which got fulfilled by vine and now tiktok. And it's only profitable with a forced autoplay.
