BTW, that shit wasn't detecting HDMI.
I had to change the setting through another linux laptop.
@LukeAlmighty I literally just did this for a friend, except I think it was like 20 minutes to get it all done. Lenovo x201, 100mb internet, SSD drive, USB thumb drive for boot/install. (Debian, FWIW)
