i'm still surprised at how she thinks it's reversible. is this some new propaganda? i looked it up and the success rate from british claims to be 55%. from what i've heard, i don't believe that. i think probably 1/5 or 1/3 at most can be reversed, and it depends a lot on which type of operation you have - most cannot be reversed at all and in fact the reversible type of operation is relatively rare and new.

i don't know what this >woman moment girl is thinking but i get the feeling her thoughts aren't her own. i wouldn't call her a nihilist as much as i'd call her a megaphone for the public

@fluffy the vasectomy propaganda is as old as I've been alive sadly. It seems to be a feminist talking point, where the woman will highlight how fucked up things like IUDs and birth control are, but then tell men its very easy to get your nuts sliced open so some doctor can do or undo your nuts...

until a family member brought up the "they can just be reversed" point a week ago, i had been under the impression that vasectomies in general were totally irreversible with the exception of some experimental surgeries in development in india.

i'm 50/50 on if there were surgical innovations in the last decade that changed this... or if the books were simply cooked

less than a third and only if you reverse it withing a single year. if you wait more than a few years, your chances of infertility drastically rise.
