>The thing about tiktok that scares me the most is how, just like tumblr before, it rewards mental illness and victimhood to the point of inducing symptoms in otherwise healthy individuals, usually young girls. It surrounds them with content on how to "cope" as someone with a mental disorder and videos of vague diagnostic criteria that leads to mimicry of the negative behaviours until they're ingrained and can't stop

This kind of madness escalation is something, I still don't understand, but it seems to be closed by filtering of community.

While facebook is immune, since it is connected to real names, (ironically enough), this event seems to be happening, whenever you can filter all of your communication DOWN to a level, where no disagreement can be heard.

In case of Tumblur, this was self-selection, while in twitter, it is selected by the moderators and bots.

I am still not sure, if it's triggered on purpose by Chinese bots, but it doesn't even matter at this point.

While a Chinese company, TikTok is an international corp

The big three, Black Rock, Vanguard, and one other control the majority of voting shares of every major corporation worth mentioning...

China is a front, just like all the other nations

The idea of a "nation state" is an illusion
@LukeAlmighty @mangeurdenuage

You can see this for centuries more or less

The united states wasn't settled by people, but by corporations... Hudson Fur Company was a major one that had company towns

George Washington was an employee of one of the major corps and a land speculator. He was still on their payroll during the entirety of the Revolutionary War, paid by a British corporation with the knowledge of the crown who could have frozen the funds but didn't (weird, huh?)

Then there's the East India Trading Company who functionally ran the British Empire, but there were others

Mega corps and holding companies as being the real power in the world is quite old
@LukeAlmighty @mangeurdenuage

I should have written down the name of the corporation that George Washington worked for and was paid by during the entirety of the Revolutionary War, but I freaking didn't

That rabbit hole would have probably been crazy

Like said the SaaS is actually providing people depending on various factors, only mainly cited in this is attention span on certain contents, so it's itself a form of filter.

:OMEGALUL: not it isn't, it's just less blatant, but tons of accounts made by pimps are a thing just like on twatter.

>it is selected by the moderators and bots.
And hordes of people signaling content or not.
