This is so sad.
Many people get so entrenched to the big picture problems, that they will never again be happy.
I hear my colleagues complain about poverty, while all i think is: not only will I never be hungry (with this income), I can eat literaly whatever catches my eye.
And that is huge.
@LukeAlmighty I’ve worked in these kinds of places before, I started out feeling bad for the women like this but over time realized that most had used up all that goodwill they’d gotten. If you offered them even a bit of assistance they’d latch on and try to suck as much as they can out of you.
