The problem with Musk is the same as the problem with Trump.

They get called out for the insignificant stuff so often, that I no longer care, if they do something major.

For instance, yeah, I see, that his robotics seem like a complete pipe dream, but most people who say it cannot even acknowledge, that he's doing wonders with the spaceX, and that the entire electric car industry got pretty much started because of Musk.
