Shadow of war might be the best game, I have ever played, that was 100 percent ruined by bad rep from a single stupid decision.
What a way to kill a franchise.

They added microtransactions, and made the game 5 times the length, so you have time to buy the lootboxes.
The core game is still entertaining as fuck, but once the word got out, that the game had lootboxes, it was dead on arrival.

Yeah, the core fighting is amazing casual fun.
A hell of a grind, if you're a perfectionist, but still.
