Can’t wait for everyone I know to pretend they haven’t given me a quizzical mystery look whenever I bring up armored core for the last 20 years

Have yet to meet a single player but now that they’re on board dark souls, they’ll act like they’ve always love its inscrutable gear system.

(also AC taught me that the best way to get ahead is to go into such severe debt that they sell your body into human experimentation)

Bruh, I am looking so much towards trying a new type of game...

Although, that trailer was pure trolling. "Feed the fire, let the last cinders burn?" Why do I feel like these 2 lines have nothing to do with the series?

@LukeAlmighty @WashedOutGundamPilot Story Overview
A mysterious new substance was discovered on the remote planet, Rubicon 3. As an energy source, this substance was expected to dramatically advance humanity’s technological and communications capabilities. Instead, this substance caused a catastrophe that engulfed the planet and the surrounding stars in flames and storms, forming a Burning Star System.

Almost half a century later, the same substance resurfaced on Rubicon 3, a planet now contaminated and sealed off by the catastrophe.

Extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups fight over control of the substance. The player infiltrates Rubicon as an independent mercenary and finds themself in a struggle over the substance with the corporations and other factions.

(alleged leaked story)

@Paultron @LukeAlmighty I like how they still have the same “eh, whatever” approach to worldbuilding.

Silent line? Chrome? murakumo? Maybe that was a fever dream, tex, we’re in space now

@WashedOutGundamPilot @LukeAlmighty when i first saw it i was hoping it was just a continuation of for answer genocide ending tbh

@Paultron @LukeAlmighty I literally have zero idea WTF is going on. I thought the first few entries were all in the underdark, then out of nowhere they have you on earth fighting in landscapes.

Kinda hoping it’s all nonsense just to frustrate the dark souls people. There’s a girl I see sometimes who’s STILL playing elden ring trying to become a twitch thot. I hope AC makes her suffer with power/FCS management

@dielan @LukeAlmighty @Paultron I used to love those missions where you were hired to just ransack a city and destroy everything you could.

Ah…

@LukeAlmighty
It certainly doesn't. AC's plot is pretty secondary to the gameplay and always has been. Its also not one consistent story groups of games are sequels/prequels to each other but isolated in like 4 groups. Though surely theres some Schizo's out there (me) who would try to explain to you they are all connected and separated by different near-anhilliation events but tbh it doesnt matter at all
