Almost every race in trek is unfathomably gay and evil and the right course of action is to build a Klingon, Cardassian or Romulan like militaristic social system and violently purge dissidents on your way to cleanse the galaxy in Consecrated Phaser Light.

One is strong but fragile

The message is clear. Even the gay writers couldn't restrain themselves from echoing it as fact.
Man was made to rule Midgardr, & to do so with proper morals and inspiration. It is the natural inclination of the species to reach out into the mundane and try to make it sublime. Even if we fail more often than not.
