This is what happens, when you get the concept of soul/personality get too deep into your head.
You are you. The complete packege. Some people are unable to accept, that their soul by itself just isn't how human attraction works. (Was kinda hard pill for me too, but a white one, since it's an "easy fix")

But it's a natural result of the lies most people are told since childhood.
Let's not pretend, that you never heard, that you shouldn't care about the surface level stuff.
In general maybe, but nobody ever told me that caring about physical attraction is bad or something like that
