@WashedOutGundamPilot Always disturbs me how adults laugh this horrendous shit off. I remember my parents caught my brother looking up porn on his ipad as a toddler and how they just laughed it off as a quirky boy thing. My dad was like "lmao at least we know he is straight" like it was no big deal his two year old son was already doing this.

@TheVeryLutheranHousewife Even when I was a kid I was the smart aleck in the back seat saying “haha, yeah, you’re laughing right now, just wait until he’s 16 and then you’ll be wondering how he turned out ‘that way’“

I still rub it in their faces today

Well, there's also the question of if it's better to expose kids yourself under controlled environment, or if it's better to let school kids show dome scat they found.

I remember my parents watching american Pie and 40 days and 40 nights, while gaging my reaction. Because I guess they wanted to make sure I get the concept, contrary to many girls, who get pregnant at 13 and have no idea how it happened.

@LukeAlmighty @WashedOutGundamPilot ....
That's not even a question the aim is for them not to be exposed to that sort of filth at all. All porn is inherently damaging to the brain from the most vanilla missionary to the most sick fetish. There is no controlled exposure

@TheVeryLutheranHousewife @LukeAlmighty My school had that type of family, where the “cool” anti-religious parents say they’re teaching the kid about “sexuality” by giving them mainstream pornography. It was creepy back in 2010 and it’s even worse today.

It uh……didn’t turn out so great. I’m told the daughter’s a stripper with 2 shit-colored goblins and a pill addiction, and the son got arrested for trying to molest a little girl, last I heard.

So score one for NOT watching porno with the kids

I meant more of "romantic comedies, with enough detail" kind of thing, but thanks for sharing.

@WashedOutGundamPilot @LukeAlmighty This is the problem we see with modern sex education as well. They teach children how to have casual sex and thus promote it as the norm because they make the assumption that there's no way to get kids to avoid that lifestyle. There are actually plenty of ways to teach your kids to be decent and respectable people

There are some great resources for preventing kids from watching porn even when their peers who aren't protected enough try to show them. There's a really great book every parent needs to get called good pictures, bad pictures. This interview with the author is also worth watching with very helpful advice
