I see a lot of people saying "Sanic Frontiers was bad actually" on GameFAGs and other places like this forum. Was it actually bad?
@LukeAlmighty @DrRyanSkelton @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty @Kallian It was alright, it just could have had "more". People are either exaggerating a lot by saying its the best Sonic game so far or that it's bad.

You know what? Thank you for reminding me of the new Sonic game.

Because I am starting to see a weird patern. I am seriously starting to hate photoscans, when mis-used. While they can look breathtaking in SOME games, when applied to a game, that is 100 percent commited (Like Star Wars Battlefront), I don't know why, they do stick out a lot, when placed in a game, that doesn't commit fully.

I feel, like the added detail points to what parts of game are fixed, while all of the stuff, that can be interacted with are much lower detail. (Might be just the fact, that character cannot have the same level of pre-rendered lighting, but still, there is something wrong.)

It means models of environment, that are created from many photographs, instead of modeling and drawing textures.

It creates the most realistic results under 1 specific lighting, but stands out from all other methods of modeling.

There are entire libraries of pre-made photoscanned models, and I think that might be another cause of the issue. Since they are made to such a detail, kit-bashing them might be harder.

Again, I am saying, that I don't know what the issue is. It's kinda hard to put your finger on what exactly feels wrong once you get to this kind of graphics analysis :ablobcatrave:
