Good idea, or bad?
(I added an age threshold because I suspect teens and young adults might view this proposal differently)
Why would a media site need my ID? Screw that how about parents be responsible and monitor their kids.
Because Omega it's the responsibility of the netizens to babysit children now.

I don't disagree with you. I believe that requiring ID sets a dangerous precedent, and that the parenting should be done at home.

Sure, but who's going to listen? You can't really tell young parents anything and old parents will either be apathetic or go completely overboard. Of course that's very black and White but the rapid propagation of technology and launch in to the digital age has caused more issues than its worth, in my opinion.
