Using Steam to let my brother play on my PC, while being 10km away.
Nice.
@Jens_Rasmussen
We did a tech test now.
Of course it's not ideal, but I think it is playable in most games. (he tested it on a lego game anyway.)
@Jens_Rasmussen
Still, it is amazing to see that Steam offers it as a free service though.
@Jens_Rasmussen Ok, that's weird.
I would expect the play together to be enabled on all games.
@Jens_Rasmussen
My brother wanted to play a SP game...
@Jens_Rasmussen
My brother doesn't hame the same account. He has only a shared library.
But there seems to be a great workaround.
>The short answer is yes, however it requires a (generally older/looser DRM?) donor steam game with Remote Play Together enabled.
>An example is LEGO® Batman™: The Videogame (2008). Gutting/deleting the local Lego Batman game files and creating either hardlinks or transferring the non-steam game files, followed by making sure the new game exe is appropriately titled (in this case "LEGOBatman.exe") seems to work.
>There's plenty of other games besides Lego Batman this works for, but it's up to you to scan the compatibility list and find one you own. Target non-steam games it's compatible with is likely a little more hit-or-miss, but in general it's probably fair to assume that if it works on Parsec it'll work through Steam.
