@caekislove he is consistent in his inconsistency, for example he is also against gun rights because most people don't need one and are not responsible enough but owns a gun because he needs one for protection and has deemed himself responsible enough.
@icedquinn @caekislove i moderately liked him at first but quickly noticed the one rule for me and another for thee thing
@Moon @icedquinn @caekislove mere hypocrisy could be understood, but here has a rule that nobody can follow: if you're incapable of doing your own research, then you're also incapable of choosing between two experts, and incapable of applying any standard that any expert gives you because you have no means by which you can accept the standard or vet that expert. You also have no way of accepting this instruction from Sam Harris.

SH: don't think. Let other people think for you.
a passing muse: think. Don't let other people think for you.

How are you supposed to agree with Sam Harris *while* agreeing with him?

After this patched up to make any sense at all, it'd probably look something like "just believe whatever the dominant voices in society seem to believe. That way if you drown you'll at least be going down with a large ship, and not find yourself a lone nutter." Which is, at least, a pretty funny attitude for an 'atheist' to have.

Sam Harris circa 1700: don't do your own research on whether God exists, and go to church.
Sam Harris circa 2300: don't do your own research on whether God exists, and go to church.

His standart is working on the Kira ruleset.

Kira:
Murder is wrong, as well as any other crime. Therefore, I will murder and threaten others to stop murders.

He just believes, that his brain is big enough to think for everyone.
