If some of you are wondering, there are around 12,000-15,000 homicides in the US each year. So homicides of trans people account for around 0.2-0.25% of the total, which is actually lower than their % of population.

@dave So trans people are actually disproportionately *not* murdered then? Interesting...

@realcaseyrollins This is generally the case and has been for a while. To be fair, a lot of trans people have no social life, and people that never go outside are less likely to be murdered, so that skews the stats.

But it’s still fair to say that their genocide narrative is bullshit.

@realcaseyrollins @LukeAlmighty Trans people on average definitely tend to be poor. This is in part because so many of them are younger, but also because it strains relationships when you tell your family they need to pretend you’re the opposite sex and have been convinced that if they don’t it means they hate you. Also makes it harder to hold a job because you have this unrealistic expectation that everyone is supposed to pretend not to notice what sex you are.

I don't meant them individually, but that they should be comming from rich families, and therefore live in safe areas, even if they cannot hold onto a job.
