Generally speaking, viruses don't evolve to be deadly, but to be stealthy, because deadlier sequences have much more of a problem to spread.
@LukeAlmighty You know, that's what I was taught in school too. Viruses have to trade lethality and transmissibility. But this is Covid we're talking about. We throw out all conventional medical wisdom.
