usually mine says something like "this is my son [Nukie], he's looking for a girlfriend right now" when introducing me to her coworker or "aww, so my itsy bitsy wittle boy has finally found some friends?" when my friends came over last time etc etc
to be fair, I embarrass her a lot too, so maybe it's just that you're a good and proper son so you don't get into situations like this
