If you have any emotional connection to the book, then this is the best gaming adaptation since Lego.

As for the game.... It seems fine. fast food level fine.

@LukeAlmighty @LukeAlmighty ive never read the books or watched the movies. should i even bother?

@graf
At your age?
I don't think you will be able to enjoy it alone. Although, if you know someone else who loves them, watching it with them might be a well spent time.

Also, if you never seen/read it... Good luck with the game :omegalul: I am looking forward to your updates on how you like it/ if you find anything strange.

@LukeAlmighty i have zero interest in pottershit tolkeinshit. i was never into books. my gf is so i just make her read stuff to me
@graf @LukeAlmighty oh then if thats the objective perhaps read something fun:

and take turns and read a chapter here and there.

this is a really good book:

The Lincoln Highway - Amore Tolles
@graf @LukeAlmighty Tolkien is worth reading, it should be on your bucket list. Grab the Rob Inglis audio book if you don't like text. You will be delighted.

The movies, hype and trashy merchandise have clouded people's perceptions, the books are nothing like the woke action films.
@graf @LukeAlmighty then i wouldn't bother playing it tbh

it's just a nostalgia trip
@graf @LukeAlmighty all the game has in common with the books and movies is it takes place in the same universe. it's set like 100 years before the books
@graf @LukeAlmighty im going to see a lot of yeses but

NO. don't bother. :) you're better off watching the lord of the rings again.
