The easiest way to make me red with rage, is to show me someone selling out for shamefully low prices. It's not that selling out is ever okay, but at least I could understand why someone would struggle for the big bucks.

In this instance, Gov. Reynolds is selling out child labor protections, and giving corporations IMMUNITY for a MERE $8,000. You can't even GET A DEGREE for that amount.

Isn't this "child labor" a new limit of 14 years instead of the previous 15?

@LukeAlmighty@gameliberty.club
I'd be against 15 too in some of the mentioned circumstances.
This would be entirely different if it was about actually providing training and skills instead of merely racing to the bottom. It sounds like the proposal is broader than merely changing the age.

House Study Bill 134 would enable the directors of Iowa Workforce Development and the Iowa Department of Education to grant exemptions to allow teens ages 14 to 17 to work in jobs otherwise prohibited for children if they're part of a school- or employer-based job training program. The bill would also let teens work longer hours than current law allows.

Besides, I thought
automation and AI were going to take over and everyone was going to be out of work in a few short years? Why the rush to throw kids into dangerous jobs for low pay? Is it because they're realizing that they'll actually need to pay people to do real work, and this is a mad-dash runaround attempt to prevent that?

Well, I remember what it was like being imprisoned in school, starving and still prohibited from work for being too young.

So, obviously I disagree with you there..... But letting kids work 20+ hours in a dangerous places is retarded.
