One thing I usually prefer not to do is to risk politically dividing communities that I happen to belong to.
However, Joe Biden has done precisely what I hoped he would do. He has restored a sense of legitimacy and dignity to the office of the United States presidency, and he has pulled us back from the brink of an internecine conflict that would have torn us asunder.
There are other Democrats I would have seen in his place, but that is a compliment to them, not any slur against Biden himself.

I am a transgender woman. There is a difference between a cisgender woman and a transgender woman. Most of us acknowledge this readily. I do not even try to pass myself off as a cis-gender woman, which would be ridiculous for someone that is six feet and two inches tall and clearly assigned male at birth. I would be happy to explain the possible neurological causation if you would wish.
But first, what does this have to do with the price of tea in China?

So it surprises you that transgender people have as much right as any other Americans to carry firearms?
I actually happen to be friends with a transgender man who provides transgender people in the area with firearms training. He is trying to talk me into getting a concealed carry permit.
While I regard him as a very good friend, I honestly think that a nationwide firearms ban would make more sense, frankly.

I am reading you quite clearly.
However, the resulting escalation of violence against transgender people is just driving more transgender people to apply for conceal carry permits.
I am not sure that I have any use for a weapon, myself. I would be afraid of hurting some harmless street drunkard in a moment of misunderstanding.
However, my friend has a lot of influence in the local transgender community. He helped feed many struggling transgender people during COVID.
