When reddit dies, I won’t feel bad for any of it’s users.
I’m noticing companies actively making really greedy, unhinged business decisions too, go figure.
@Purp1Lady the reddit admins were right, those mods were toxic, that "protest" was just noise, this was childish and a waste of everyone's time and thier opinions did not matter. reddit nor google nor discord nor ANY other corporation are your friend. people HAVE to learn this lession and it's always the hard way. we kept telling ya'll this, they are not your friend, they will never be, stop assuming they'll want to hang out and shit that is fucking retarded omfg. ya'll need to stop assuming they will be all buddy buddy wtf is wrong with everyone?
this isn't exploitation, you signed up for this shit. this us the price you pay when you use servers YOU DONT OWN.
People want the benefits without the effort. If they could pay by losing 1 IQ every year for social media, they would. We are NOT sensible beings.
@corfiot @Purp1Lady everyone wants something for nothing so predatory business models hide the cost the users pay and addict them to their "free" service. you are not free, you are a digital serf and you will obey your masters or be cast out to be doomed with eternal freedom online. the weakest generation of humanity was raised in the cradle of the web of the 2010s, it is our moral obligation to force them to walk on thier own 2 feet or have them and all thier descendants enslaved to thier base desires.

the communists give this post labor utopia made by the free market the name "capitalism" because it wasn't REAL communism bro. next time an overbearing state run entity that micromanages every aspect of your life will work if only WE were the ones in control.
there is no free email
there is no free internet
there is no free storage
there is no free software
there are no free operating systems
there are no free phones
there are no free minutes
there are no free good times (tm) in general

There is always a cost and because we're still dumb animals, if it's not in our faces, we just ignore it. There should be an app that zaps you whenever you use a "free" thing.
They're free for you but not for the giver.
Therefore, not free.
People seem to think that all these amazing things we have and enjoy are magically created out of nowhere and that we've found some kind of amalthean horn that shits free stuff. Anything "free" is provided by someone, for a reason or using up a depletable resource.
Mind you, a hug would be nice. I'd give 1 IQ for hugs.
